After spending a lot of time on Pinterest, I was more than ready to build my own pergola. We already had poles from an old laundry clothesline stand, so reusing them was an easy call. We went with a simple construction, so the whole thing came together over a weekend, using impregnated wood and rebar that we sprayed with black paint.
We finally got a place to hang the upside-down tomatoes — and there’s still room to dry carpets on it too.
